Przemysła Brykalski lubiący eksperymenty związane z różnorodnością ekspresji wizji twórczej, stworzył „Zatokę” w momencie powrotu do twórczości malarskiej. Artyście dużo bliżej było do „sztucznych” barw na obrazach niż tych czerpanych z obserwacji rzeczywistości. Podczas swojej rozłąki z malowaniem Brykalski zajmował się m.in. fotografią, rysunkiem czy projektowaniem.
