In Janek Zamoyski’s art, we can see a combination of his individual research and contemporary art. The formal layer appears to be dominated by esthetics, which is content in itself. The artist continues the search for the boundary – not so clear anymore – between photography and painting. The subject is of secondary importance in his art, but it still matters. Janek Zamoyski, a photographer and a curator, is one of the founders of the Warsaw Gallery “Czułość” (Tenderness) gallery which attracted a group of young artists working in the field of contemporary photography. He was the curator and producer of a great number of exhibitions and accompanying events. He also published five books on photography.
